Personality
Being the remnant of mentally unhinged Henry Creel, Vecna is purely evil. He is shown to be extremely malevolent, delighting in the torment that he brings to those that he curses. In his mindscape, corpses of his victims are displayed in a horrific fashion, showing that Vecna is proud of the unspeakable deeds that he has committed.
Nature
Vecna was a human being who has been transformed by The Upside Down in an unknown manner. He retains the psychic abilities that Henry Creel once possessed; the ability to reach into the minds of others, as well as the power of telekinesis.
Victims
At least most of Vecna’s recent victims have had headaches, nose bleeds and past trauma, the latter of which Vecna exploits and taunts them about to make their minds vulnerable to his initially psychological attacks — with the exception of Virginia and Alice Creel and the Hawkins Lab employees and test subjects.
Conception and design
The Duffers have named classic horror antagonists Freddy Krueger, Pennywise, and Pinhead as the primary inspirations for Vecna. Concept artist Michael Maher worked with the Duffers to develop Vecna’s design.
Production
Wanting to pay homage to the first season and return to practical effects, the effects for Vecna were 90% practical. Makeup artist Barrie Gower, who has previously worked on Game of Thrones and Chernobyl, created the prosthetics for Vecna. The vines protruding from Vecna’s back are CGI.

In the Old Testament there are at least 9 groups or individuals who practiced sorcery. Although modern culture and entertainment tends to paint those who practice such ‘black arts’ in a benign or even positive light (e.g. stories and movies directed at children), the motives of Old Testament sorcerers was evil to the core. These groups or individuals are the following.
1) God promised to punish the Egyptians and to destroy the counsels of their charmers, conjurers, magicians and those who cast spells (Isaiah 19:3,11 – 12).

7) Belshazzar called upon his astrologers and wise men to interpret the “handwriting on the wall” done by the finger of God (Daniel 5:7,15).
8) God warns his people not to be troubled by “the signs of heaven” as the pagans are with their astrologers (Jeremiah 10:2, Micah 3:6 – 7).
