For this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
Look at what the NIV says (see photo)??? Now does that sound even similar to what is written above?? Nope!!
Tribute from my old dictionary means – money or equivalent paid periodically by one prince or state to another in acknowledgement of submission or as price of peace or protection. 2. Given voluntary a gift as a sign of gratitude or respect. (If you are serving God why would you need protection?)
Tribute Definition & Meaning – Merriam-Webster – Definition of tribute. 1 a : something given or contributed voluntarily as due or deserved especially : a gift or service showing respect, gratitude, or affection a floral tribute. b : something (such as material evidence or a formal attestation) that indicates the worth, virtue, or effectiveness of the one in question the design is a tribute to his ingenuity.
Now do taxes fall into the above description?? Or are they forced and stolen from Us without consent?? You see where I am going don’t you!!!!
Now again all the way through the OT we have burnt offerings and sacrifices and yet we are told in books like Isaiah and Psalms – He has NEVER required such a thing EVER only that We obey His VOICE!! He said it is their own misguided hearts and deaf ears which lead them to do these things and write that it came from Him, when it didn’t!! So why would the scribes in the NT be any different from the OT in saying things which God has not said or thought!!!
So do we obey people in power who are NOT obeying God?? No because He tells us, We should OBEY Him not man!! All governments serve satan and we are not to be part of the world system which is Babylon and He tells us more than once to “come out of her my people” so does that sound like we should be serving governments which are Babylon??? Eh No because if you are serving these you are serving satan and his agenda!! And then we have the fact money doesn’t exist at all and the only people who it does have value to is those who print it to enslave Mankind with chasing something which doesn’t exist!! God says to live by the TRUTH not be yoked in lies!!!! And then you have His commandments written by His hand which state Thou shall not steal or covet anything which doesn’t belong to you!!! Go check out the vatican (holy see – law of the sea) and it’s tithing!!!
Also Jesus said in Matthew 6:24 – No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

So if it feels immoral and unjust it is because your spirit is telling you so!!! We serve and obey God not man and certainly not men not obeying God!!! If you have a copy of this bible if you can call it that then chuck it away and get a KJV and not a NKJV not an AKJV because these have things which are not right also, that is why most people stick with the original KJV!! It is also written in God’s tone which you don’t get from any other Bible version in English!!!!!!!
At the end of the day God gives to us freely and we are expected to give to other freely because everyone has a skill given by God for the good of Mankind to benefit everyone not just themselves!!! He also said “God’s ministers” not satan’s servants in Romans 13:6!!!
